Currently the incoming texts pop up on the main screen, they lock up everything you are doing, and if you dismiss them then you may likely forget they have been received.
New emails, leads, and even sales calls come up in the message center on the top right - adding new texts to this section would allow them to be checked in the same manner and cut back on the amount of texts that get 'overlooked' due to user being preoccupied with the person they are currently working on.
In all honesty, there are times when you are entering notes or doing something that requires your full attention and are not able to get to the text the instant they arrive. If you click them then the only way to get to them is make a note of the client(s) or go to the sms received report. Not all agents have the access to the reports so it is not always an option.
...for me, I always click on the hyperlink name, which opens a tab in my internet explorer, or whatever you're using and then I simply go back to what I'm doing. the open tab is my reminder. sure would be nice to work it easily from there, by quick reply, but for now this works for me.

The whole point is that it pops up over everything else. If you click it away then you have to search for it. It would make more sense to be set up like the emails.

I honestly would love to see this change to the texting platform. We have a high volume bdc with 12 reps and thousands of leads to sift through every month and we work out of the bucket system in promax so that all leads get followed up with on a daily basis no matter who is scheduled to be here. The bucket system works great to follow up with leads and I would never change it however due to all of the activity with working out of dual screens and having to mange team workplan and personal workplan text message responses get lost frequently all day every day and it causes us to lose business when we miss the text message and dont come across it until the next scheduled call. It would be extremely helpful to have them come up in the message center so that the whole team is notified and can respond in a timely manner. With the increase of communication being through text these days, I feel that a better solution should be of the upmost importance.
